Thinking that I haven’t run enough and that that is the cause of my slump, I tallied up my July mileage for some evidence-based counseling. Apparently, I have run 158 miles this month. That's good considering everything: summer, frisbee, vacations, heat, bad attitude, and not having a long race to aim for. So, I'm running enough, I just don't know why I feel so lazy and tired when I run.

It's not the mileage, it's the mentality.
Lately, I have been feeling that my running is in a slump. I haven’t run a race since the beginning of June. I wake up sleepy and get home from work tired, so many of my runs have seemed sluggish. Last night, I planned to run 6 miles, but when I got home, I was okay with a rest day (ended up with 4). My ankles also seem wobbly, or they fatigue earlier on in trail runs. With the half-wit half marathon (on trails) coming up in two weeks, it's not good to feel slow. Maybe it's heat and humidity. The whining have got out of control.
